Protect immigrant families in Nashville with the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition TOMORROW, Thursday, July 6th!
From the Facebook event:
On Thursday, July 6th, the Metro Council was supposed to cast their final vote on BL-739. The ordinance would have protected immigrant residents and ensured that city agencies aren’t helping with deportations. But, after anti-immigrant activists and state legislators mounted a campaign against the bill, city leaders wavered in their support and the bill was withdrawn.
But immigrant families are here to stay! Join us for a rally outside of City Hall before the council meeting to make sure our elected officials know that if we are going to call ourselves a welcoming city, we need to take action to keep families safe and keep city agencies out of mass deportations.
