Resource Shelters

Open Table Nashville, in partnership with local congregations, host Resource Shelters on the second and fourth Fridays of every month. Resource Shelters provide our friends living on the streets with a warm, safe place to stay for a night and provides our outreach workers with the time and space necessary to work with our friends to complete essential steps in securing permanent housing. In fact, 50 percent of our newly-housed friends were once shelter guests. Guests at our Resource Shelters also receive dinner and breakfast, hot showers, fresh clothes, foot care, first aid attention, and haircuts.

We’re always looking for volunteers to help set up beds, provide and serve dinner, cut hair, offer foot care, stay as innkeepers, and help with clean up. Sign up here to volunteer, and download our resource shelter volunteer manual for a more detailed look at volunteer roles.
