Joanie is a senior Social Work and Spanish double major at Belmont University and is originally from Louisville, KY. She is interning at Open Table Nashville for her final social work field placement. Joanie is passionate about fighting for social justice and working with people experiencing homelessness. She is looking forward to learning from everyone at OTN and engaging with our friends on the streets. In her free time Joanie enjoys being with friends, trying new restaurants or coffee shops, practicing yoga, or binge watching Netflix.
Kate recently graduated with a degree in psychology from Oberlin College and is working with Open Table Nashville for a year before starting grad school for social work. She wants to be a therapist someday to help folks reclaim agency over and find peace in their bodies.
Michael is interested in the intersection of Faith and Justice and seeks to understand systems of oppression and the theological and ethical obligation to confront such systems and restore the oppressed.
Judy Ives serves as a volunteer working with the chaplains. She visits with our friends that have found permanent housing providing spiritual support and friendship.
