Sarah is no stranger to internships at Open Table Nashville! Sarah spent a year as our intern in 2016 and in 2017 completed another year with Open Table Nashville through the AmeriCorps VISTA program. She grew up between Brentwood and Franklin, Tennessee. Her home church is Christ United Methodist in Franklin. Sarah went to Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas for three semesters and then transferred to Belmont University. Sarah majored in Religious Studies and minored in Social Work. She graduated in May of 2017. Past work experiences include Project Transformation and youth ministry intern at Belmont United Methodist Church. During her junior and senior year at Belmont she was President of Belmont Wesley Fellowship. Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She claims that this is her last stint as an intern with Open Table Nashville and plans on pursuing a Masters in Social Work in the fall.
Madison is passionate about working towards systematic change in local policies and practices that can provide justice and empowerment for marginalized communities.
Kate recently graduated with a degree in psychology from Oberlin College and is working with Open Table Nashville for a year before starting grad school for social work. She wants to be a therapist someday to help folks reclaim agency over and find peace in their bodies.
Lauren believes that housing is a basic right that everyone should have access to, and she is excited to begin taking steps with Open Table Nashville to eradicate the issues surrounding affordable housing.
